History-Making of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish
A significant even happened in Broookside Hills Subd. and its neighboring subdivisions (Don Mariano, Bayanihan, Park Palce, Gruar I, Villarica, St Joseph, Riverside, Country Homes, Cypress and Village East) when on Saturday, April 24, 1999, at about 4:30 PM, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Brookside Hills, Cainta, Rizal within the Diocese of Antipolo was born by canonical erection along with the installation of its first Parish Priest, the Rev Fr Rosalio C. Olaybal (now deceased). Both rites were officiated by His Excellency, Bishop Protacio G. Gungon, D.D. and highlighted by a concelebrated Holy Mass. Several local government officials and well-known and respected personalities graced the occasion with their presence with the jubilant parishioners of Brookside and the abovementioned subdivisions who filled the Church to the rafters.
The Sacred Hear of Jesus Parish was then under the Parish of Our Lady of Light, Cainta. |
